WTF?28 Jun

Whoa! A colleague of mine found this wonderful page on NineMSN’s Australian website. It’s chock full of Javascript/HTML goodiness, crammed into 600KB+ of code. WTF are they trying to protect with all the obfuscated Javascript? A tv schedule? Really?!

If you’re a code junkie, and want to torture yourself, head on over and take a peek. I’m especially fond of the SPEED_TEST…oh, and the Yesterday/Tomorrow links, which are obviously hard-coded.

  • For those who were too busy, or simply missed it, Michael Bartosh was killed in a tragic accident. The Apple community lost a brilliant mind. A scholarship is being set up in his name…

“If you are interested in donating to the Michael Bartosh Scholarship fund to help pay for the travel and expenses to bring a University/College age Network Engineering Student to Macworld to attend the MacIT Conference please fill in the form below. We are in the midst of setting up the formalities of the fund and will be in touch as soon as it’s in place.”

  • Finally, the television industry has a poster boy representing all of its myriad problems: a monkey drinking its own urine.

More commenting15 Jun

So, I’ve been playing around with the video commenting a little more. This has been spurred, of course, by vloggercon. Without further adieu, here’s another comment-enabled video.

Valleywag on Vloggercon: Comment13 Jun

Well, I haven’t been invited to comment on Valleywag, and I’m not going to track down someone and ask them for an invite just to post this, so here’s my nomination for a "decent" vloggercon video: Beach Walks by Rox #110: Robert Scoble.

I got to talk to Scoble briefly during the conference, and he’s a great guy. I wish him the best with PodTech.

I’d also like to mention that many people are probably still coming "down" from this weekend and have yet to even look at footage, much less edit it. I’ve been so hyped from everything I got 2 hours of sleep Sunday night (I kept getting up, writing some thoughts down, going to bed, getting up…), and 5 last night. Give it time, I’m positive more video will flow.
