I’ve been reading a few posts about people having problems with the latest updates and 2G iPhones…hopefully this will help someone out who’s stuck in reboot mode:
If you’re iPhone gets stuck during the reboot phase, quickly unplug/replug it in via the serial port (plug on the bottom of the phone). That should kick-start the jailbreak install process. YMMV.

Inspired by the results on a “Which Founding Father Are You?” quiz (result: Benjamin Franklin), here are his 13 Virtues (via Wikipedia):
TEMPERANCE. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
